Business Support Review
Further to the meetings we held
in April, we have now taken your concerns to Senior Management and they are
in the process of addressing these.
You should have by now received an email from your Business Support
Manager updating you on progress and referring you to the updated Q&A
section on the Business Support intranet page. Management have agreed to introduce focus
groups to review the generic job descriptions that many of you were
concerned about. I hope some of you
will take this opportunity up and we will support you in any way we can.
If you have any other concerns
please raise these with your manager in the first instance, or if you would
like representation when you speak to your manager let us know by calling
0141 881 8257 or email unisoner@yahoo.co.uk.

UNISON’s Manifesto
UNISON’s local
government manifesto was launched recently and proposes to invigorate the
debate about how public services in local government are provided.
The manifesto
supports delivery of services by directly employed workers rather than any
increased reliance on the private sector.
The manifesto is released at a critical time for Scotland’s
councils, prior to the local council elections to be held on May 3 2012.
The manifesto
highlights better ways of working which lead to real improvement rather
than simply papering over the cracks.
For more
information on the manifesto please visit www.unison-scotland.org.uk
or telephone 0845 355 0845.
